Bangkok, July 31, 2023 - Recently, Sukhothai Airport and Samui Airport under the management of Bangkok Airways Public Company Limited received the “EIA Symposium and Monitoring Awards 2023” for the transport (airport) projects. The awards were presented to Mr. Nijjapat Piyapan (6th from left), Vice President of Airports, Bangkok Airways PLC by Mr. Jatuporn Buruspat (5th from left), Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. The award presentation ceremony was held at Asawin Grand Convention Hotel, Bangkok.
The Excellent Award for Sukhothai Airport and the Outstanding Award for Samui Airport are considered another success by Bangkok Airways, which operates with good environmental standards and demonstrates social and environmental responsibility in its business operations.
In addition, Sukhothai Airport has been recognized by the EIA monitoring committees and granted the Outstanding Awards to the airport in 1999, 2000, 2002, 2005, 2006, and 2007 as well as The Excellent Awards in 2008, 2009, 2011 and 2023.
